Global Crop Radar is an automated decision-support system. Its alerts and scores estimate environmental favorability for infection, incubation, biological development or pest emergence based on the data available at the time of calculation and the assumptions of the relevant biological model.
Results may be affected by sensor error, missing, delayed or inaccurate observations, virtual-station calculations, spatial interpolation, weather-forecast uncertainty, local microclimate, incorrect or incomplete information regarding crop, BBCH stage, variety, sowing date, irrigation, field history or previous treatments, unconfirmed pathogen or pest presence, and the limitations of the biological model.
A high incubation score does not confirm that a disease or pest is present or that treatment is necessary. A low incubation score does not guarantee that the crop is free from disease or pest pressure. The confidence score reflects the reliability of the supporting data and calculation; it is not the probability that the disease or pest is present.
Global Crop Radar alerts must not be used as the sole basis for applying, selecting, dosing, mixing, timing or withholding a plant-protection treatment. The crop must be inspected in the field, and treatment decisions must be made following the recommendation of a qualified adviser certified for plant-protection products, or another professional authorised under the applicable legislation.
Only products authorised for the relevant crop and target organism may be used. The approved product label, application conditions, dosage, restrictions and applicable legislation must always be followed. Global Crop Radar does not replace professional agronomic advice, field diagnosis or official phytosanitary warnings.
